Basel ist eine der wenigen Orte, in denen man im Fluss mitten durch die Stadt schwimmen kann. Im Sommer zieht der Rhein die ganze Stadt an. Dann packen die Basler und Touristen ihre Sachen in die wasserdichten Wickelfische mit denen sie sich flussabwaerts treiben lassen.

Basel is one of the few places where you can swim in the river right in the middle of the city. In summer, the Rhine attracts the whole city. Then the people of Basel and tourists pack their things in the watertight Wickelfisch with which they drift downstream.

Bale est l'un des rares endroits ou vous pouvez nager dans la riviere a travers la ville. En ete, le Rhin attire toute la ville. Ensuite, les habitants de Bale et les touristes emballent leurs choses dans le Wickelfisch etanche avec lequel ils derivent en aval.
